Smile Senicare was built on the simple truth that caring for others is a two-way gift.
Our founder spent two years volunteering with a senior in Hong Kong. Those visits changed the way she saw care — not as a task to complete, but as a relationship to honour.
When she moved to Vancouver and saw how many seniors here were navigating aging without that same sense of connection, she built Smile Senicare to bridge the gap.
Every care plan we build rests on two pillars: keeping seniors safe and helping them feel happy in their own lives. Those two things sound simple, but they take real work to deliver every day.
We foster independence wherever possible, encourage engagement with hobbies and the wider world, and build meaningful relationships. Seniors should feel valued, heard, and deeply cared for — not managed.
And we gain just as much as we give. The wisdom, humour, and perspective our caregivers take home at the end of every shift is part of why this work matters.
No two seniors are alike, so no two care plans from us should be either. We tailor every schedule, every caregiver match, every activity around the person we're serving — and we adjust as needs change.
Our team is deliberately small so communication stays tight between families, caregivers, and coordinators. When you call, someone who knows your loved one answers.
Let's talk about your familyThat's not a slogan — it's what we've watched happen, visit after visit, year after year. Come see the difference a few well-spent hours can make.
